Here is the finished prototype flugelhorn from Scodwell USA. It is the final design and production models will feature either clear or satin lacquer finish with two bells offered in yellow brass or rose brass. The bell mandrel continues from earlier Scodwell USA flugelhorns as does the leadpipe design and tunable lower branch. Bore is .433 and the valve block has been changed to a top sprung design after evaluation of many components over the last year with this valve block proving to be ideal in every way. Scodwell USA is confident that this flugelhorn meets all expectations and will play every bit as good as previous Scodwell USA flugelhorns. Pricing has yet to be decided and will be announced when production models are available.
